A creator of hard core, truthful, head bopping and motivating hip hop music, as well as soulful, catchy, sexy n feel-good RnB Kootsie's style is unique and never fails to please. The release of Kootsie’s first music video on YouTube at the start of her career in 2018 generated a solid traction nationally. Her next single ‘Lemme Know’ accumulated over 50K streams on Spotify and has been added to numerous DSP playlists such as The Flavour, Big Ancestor Energy, FIRST and Mother just to name a few. ‘Lemme Know’ was officially added to FBi radio and Coles Radio and numerous other radio stations and social media platforms. 

In 2024 Kootsie was selected by Mushroom Records to be part of the First Nations Coles Pathways Program. She was invited to co-write a track with Barkaa for the documentary based on the Matilda's success story titled ‘Trailblazers’. 

In May 2024 Kootsie Don was highlighted by triple j Unearthed on the 5 First Nations Acts You Simply Must Be Across and ended on a high note with showcase performances at BIGSOUND; Incubated, Blak Label’s HATCHED and at SXSW Sydney’s LOUDER and FBI radio showcases. 

Kootsie closed 2024 with a fantastic performance in the remote Aboriginal community of Wadeye where she has built solid relationships with the young women who see her as an empowering female role model. AUD$ Power-to-the-people-power-to-the-mob editorial story captured the lot.

2025 saw Kootsie spending time in the studio with producer Jayteehazard [Hermitude, Hilltop Hoods and Haiku Hands] working on her debut EP.  The first track from these recordings released in October 2025, the high-octane anthem GO STUPID demonstrates that Kootsie is back with a vengeance.
