Crooked TP is a proud Mutthi Mutthi/Yorta Yorta and Tongan artist, and a devoted father of two. Born and raised in the small town of Robinvale in Victoria’s northwest, his upbringing between Robinvale and Mildura shaped his authentic perspective, late nights, street life and survival, full of lessons he chose to learn the hard way. All of this echoes through his music along with the gritty urban realism and raw masculinity imbued in his rhymes. Raised by a strong single mother and three older sisters, Crooked TP holds deep values around family and community. As he says, “It takes a community to raise Blakfullas,” and that truth carries through his journey and across his sound.

For the past five years Crooked TP has been releasing original flows that are at once fluid and sleek, tenacious and tough. His latest offering ‘Love EP’ released on Valentine’s Day follows on from a series of 3P releases (Summer, Chill and Club) demonstrating Crooked TP’s diverse sound and natural adaptability within the hip hop realm. Featuring his regular collaborator, the Fjian-born, Melbourne-based JDRO, ‘Love EP’ is an ode to old school RnB flavoured romance. Last year’s ‘Dreamtime at the G’ release - a powerful, anthemic nod to AFL’s annual tradition - caught the attention of triple j who listed Crooked TP in their ‘10 First Nations artists you NEED to hear in 2025’ lineup, alongside official Best New Music playlist adds to Unearthed and airplay across the station.

Beyond the mic, Crooked TP is also a professional dancer with over 15 years experience, a passion that has taken him across the world and locally with performances as part of Yirramboi, Rainbow Serpent, Wominjeka Festival, VIC NAIDOC celebrations, London’s West End and Edinburgh Fringe. He leads and manages his own dance crew, BIA (Brothers In Arms), using physical expression as another powerful tool for storytelling and connection. Between music and movement, Crooked TP has proven himself as a strong role model for the next generation, regularly facilitating cultural workshops for young people.

Crooked TP doesn’t just rap about Aboriginal issues, he speaks his truth as an Aboriginal man. His lyrics reflect lived experience from a personally raw male perspective. Blending cultural pride with fortitude and guts, Crooked TP brings a universal voice to the mic, staying authentic to where he's come from and who he is today.
